Community hospitals get £132m boost

The Government has unveiled details of a £132m programme which will be used to develop community hospitals across England.

Announcing the funding for the scheme, health minister Ben Bradshaw said the projects will "change the face of the local NHS" in their respective areas.

In a written statement to MPs in the House of Commons, Mr Bradshaw said: "The total value of these schemes is equivalent to £132m, of which £95m will be funded from the community hospitals and service programme."
